Being Married

Dear blog,
Sorry I haven't post much.. because I had that post-marriage syndrome where I tend not to be lonely again, has someone to talk to during the night, and forget everything else.. hahaha..

Okay, this post won't be talking about travelling, but about my marriage life after 3 months. This is some of our wedding pictures:
The preparation, at Best Western Hotel

At Polycarpus Church, Grogol

The wedding reception at Gedung Arsip Jakarta

Bridal: Yohannes Bridal Jakarta
Review: I got cheap package, because my friend said we will top-up again for this and that cost.. so in total I just spent around 12 million IDR, include additional cost for the make up artist because he needs to come to Gedung Arsip for retouching the make-up. Overall I will give ratings 7 out of 10, because there are some dramas with the customer service (Mona).

Decor: Classy Decor
Review: Actually they are my hubby's aunt and uncle, so we got pretty cheap price with great quality. Of course I will give rating 10, LOLs..

Catering: Awen
Review: My friends said the foods aren't great, and I also feel it's a bit dry, so I'll give rating 6 out of 10.

Photographer and videography: Pulse pictures
Review: Pulse is my sis in law's company, and they did great job in editing the same day video (you can see the video here), it gave my friends teary eyes. So of course I will give rating 10 hahaha..

Umm.. what else?

Cake: Pelangi Cake
Review: Relatively cheap, but it turns out the cake color is so pale and the delivery guy asking for tip. WHAT?? So, rating 5 out of 10!

Location: Gedung Arsip
Review: Nice place and we are very fortunate to get the perfect weather that day. No rain at all, and not freakin' hot. So, it just perfect, romantic, and vintage. Nothing more I can ask for..

Well, I think that should be it..
After D-day, as we all know.. all fairy tale become reality. We spent the wedding night at Novotel Gajah Mada. Pretty nice place, but unfortunately we need to check out at 12 noon, and we actually plan to extend the day, but the rate was 900K IDR! No, I'd rather spend the night at our boarding house (Kost), hahaha..

The first few days were a mix between adjusting and trying not to pissed each other LOL.. and after that we went to South Korea for honeymoon. I'll give a review on South Korea in the next posting. But overall marriage life is definitely not a cinderella story, yet there are lots of adjustment and compromise need to be done. We often have little fight about who needs to clean the dishes, our house, etc. But after fighting, we always making up, that's what matter :)

My message to the youngsters out there, don't be rush!
Sometimes Asian people just want to get married because they want to have sex, because it's illegal without marriage bond. But actually marriage is waaayy more than that! It's a lifetime commitment, and are you ready to commit without seeing half of the world yet?

I feel that I had made the right decision to be selfish for the past 28 years in my life to see the world, conquering half of Europe, and pursuing my dreams. Because after marriage, I can't be selfish anymore.. whenever I go, I need to think about my spouse. Not because I need to, but because he's a part of me now.

So sweet! :)
